Ladan Boroumand is an Iranian historian and human rights advocate. A former visiting fellow at the International Forum for Democratic Studies in Washington, D.C., she has a Masters degree in political sociology and a PhD in the history of France. She has also written and contributed several articles on the Islamic revolution of Iran, and the nature of Islamic terrorism. She is research director of the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, a nongovernmental organization that promotes human rights awareness through education and distribution of information with the goal of establishing a stable democracy in Iran.
