Hans Rosling is director and co-founder of the Gapminder Foundation, which aims to promote increased use and understanding of international statistics to achieve economic, social, and environmental development. His research explores links between the economy and health in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He has been adviser to WHO and UNICEF, in addition to having co-founded Médecines sans Frontières in Sweden. Rosling is also professor of International Health at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden where he created new courses on Global Health and co-authored a textbook on the topic.
